With Jake Moody's 55-yard field goal now being the longest ever to be hit in a Super Bowl.
Moody's field goal gave the 49ers the first points of Super Bowl LVIII but also forever etched his name into the Super Bowl record books. His field goal, as said above, was from 55 yards out. The previous record was a 54-yard field goal by Buffalo Bills kicker Steve Christie in Super Bowl XXVIII.
With it being his first-ever Super Bowl, some may have expected the up-and-down kicker to struggle. But he decided to get his Super Bowl experience started with a bang.
