RHP Chase Burns became a national sensation last summer during the Tennessee Vols' win against Southern Mississippi in the Super Regionals.

Burns pitched 2.2 innings in relief against Southern Miss to help Tennessee close out the series. His signature moment came in the seventh inning of that game when he came in and struck out two batters to leave two runners stranded. His reaction to getting out of the inning went viral.

Burns entered the transfer portal after the season, a decision that was seemingly made when he fell out of Tennessee's starting rotation earlier in the season.

The former Vol landed with Wake Forest, the current No. 1 team in the nation.

On Wednesday, it was revealed that Burns will serve as the Demon Deacons' Saturday starter to begin the season. That essentially means that Burns is the No. 2 starter for Wake Forest behind junior Josh Hartle (who happens to be Burns' roommate in Winston-Salem).

Burns went 2-3 with a 6.10 ERA as a starter for the Vols last season. If Burns can find the same success as a starter at Wake Forest that he found as a reliever at Tennessee, he could easily be a top five selection in the MLB Draft later this summer.
