The Las Vegas Raiders will keep their starting center for the foreseeable future.

According to agent David Canter, Raiders center Andre James has agreed to terms to re-sign with the Raiders, keeping him in Vegas.

Contract details should be announced soon. A to Z Sports projected James' new contract to be around three years at $24 million, so it will be interesting to see if this new deal fell around those numbers.

UPDATE: It looks like James' deal was exactly that: a three-year, $24 million contract with $16 million guaranteed, per Ian Rapoport.

James, 26, went undrafted in 2019 and was picked up by the Raiders. He was active in several games for his first two seasons before becoming the team's starting center in 2021. In total, James has appeared in 76 games, starting 49.

James has gotten better and better since taking over the starting center role. 2023 was his best season yet, where he earned career-high grades across the board.

With other Raiders offensive linemen potentially headed elsewhere, like free agent right tackle Jermaine Eluemunor, it will be good for Vegas to keep a cornerstone piece like James on the offensive line and maintain some continuity.
