Welcome to day three of three of the 2024 NFL Draft. The Detroit Lions have had a pretty good haul so far. Even if it is just two players. The Lions went out and got their top two cornerbacks on their board in Alabama's Terrion Arnold and Missouri's Ennis Rakestraw.

What will they do on day three? One thing it would seem they may have to do is get involved in the trade market. As of now, the Lions don't pick again until the 164th pick in the fifth round. So they'll have to stay put for 63 picks and hope a guy they want doesn't go. Or they could trade up. That's what we're choosing to do today's mock draft. Let's jump into.

We've talked a lot about calling the Cardinals and Commanders due to their large amounts of draft picks and their connection with front office members of both teams. We'll keep that trend going by saying the Lions should call the Cardinals and propose this deal:

Lions get: 104th and 138th picks

Cardinals get: 164th pick and a 2025 third-round pick

Lions have to give up a bit of premium pick in next years draft to move up, but it'll be worth it when they get the talent they want.

104th pick: Sione Vaki, S, Utah

The Lions are “heavily interested” in Vaki per a source. If they are as interested in Vaki as they have told our source and as all the pre-draft visits they’ve had with him say, then they’re going to have to make a move to make this happen.

We're getting to the point where time is running out on this one and there are other teams that have shown a similarly heavy amount of interest.

138th pick: Mohamed Kamara, ED, Colorado State

The Lions lost out on a lot of the top pass rushers. They were just all gone by the time the Lions got to the 61st pick. That doesn’t mean there isn’t more talent in this draft. Kamara is a guy that many teams are going to be interesedt in taking.

It's probably because he had the fourth most sacks (14) and the fourth most pressures (64) in the nation last season. He's also a team captain and a solid locker room guy. The type of player the Lions love.

201st pick: Jalen Coker, WR, Holy Cross

I was surprised that Coker fell to the Lions in this mock draft. I think he should be gone before the sixth-round rolls around. Nevertheless, here’s your diamond in the rough at receiver.

We've talked a lot about the Lions needing a big bodied X receiver in their offense, well Coker certainly has that size covered at 6-foot-3 and 213 pounds. Coker is a lot like Josh Reynolds. He's not going to blow you away with his speed, but he is a guy that can make contested catches and make things happen.

He's a project, but he's a much more polished project that should get playing time right away as opposed to someone like Antoine Green who had to take a year in the system.

205th pick: Dylan McMahon, C, North Carolina State

Everyone knows how we feel about this guy here at A to Z Detroit. He’s been 80% of our mock drafts this year. It’s the versatility to play left guard, right guard an center and start at all those positions.

At best he's Graham Glasgow. A guy that can be a jack of all trades and start where you need him to. At worst he's Evan Brown. A guy that play anywhere off the bench when injuries occur.

249th pick: Marcus Harris, DL, Auburn

Here’s a chance to grab more talent on the interior of your defensive line. Harris is a underrated prospect in this draft. He had a pretty good season for Auburn last year. He had seven sacks and 24 pressures in 12 games last year. Those seven sacks were tied for third in the nation for interior defensive linemen.

Harris is also a pretty good run stopper too. His 87.4 run grade from Pro Football Focus was the 11th highest in college football last year. He's worth a late look.
