Al Horford paid tribute to a Boston legend on Friday ahead of the Celtics championship parade.

The Celtics center was pictured arriving at TD Garden wearing a Tom Brady shirt. And it wasn't just any ordinary Brady shirt, but instead the perfect one to foreshadow just how fun Friday's festivities will be.

Who can forget about this moment during the Tampa Bay Buccaneers championship parade, when Brady appeared to have a little too much to drink while partying on the boat. He even needed some help walking.

So Horford decided to wear a shirt with Brady's face on it from that exact moment.

And Brady took a moment to react to Horford's shirt choice on social media.

Who can forget when Brady launched the Lombardi Trophy from his boat to another. Even he admitted that it was a move that occurred due to his alcohol consumption.

"I was definitely inebriated, because had I not been, I don't think I would've taken the chance realizing that thing would've fallen like 90 ft. to the bottom of the bay," Brady said in 2023 on his podcast, Let's Go! with Tom Brady, Larry Fitzgerald and Jim Gray.

While this iconic moment didn't happen while Brady was with the Patriots, he will always be a New England legend. So it was the perfect shirt for Horford to wear today.

On Monday night, the Celtics defeated the Dallas Mavericks in Game 5 of the 2024 NBA Playoffs, earning their 18th banner in franchise history. With that, the officially became the winningest team in the league. The Los Angeles Lakers sit behind them with 17 wins.

It was truly an incredible effort from each and every player on the team, with Jaylen Brown being crowned MVP. From the work of Brad Stevens taking risks and bringing in lots of talent, combined with the coaching from Joe Mazulla, and of course all the players.

Derrick White nearly lost his teeth in the game, while Kristaps Porzingis played through an injury that will need surgery. Along with White and Porzingis, Jayson Tatum, Jrue Holiday, Derrick White, and Al Horford all left a piece of them out on that court.

Plus, we'd be remiss not to mention Payton Pritchard, who nailed a buzzer beater three from the logo right before the end of the first half. (That even prompted a reaction from Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes).

Bill Belichick sends a message to Celtics

Six times throughout his 24 year tenure in New England, the coach rode in a duck boat through the streets of Boston as fans came from all over to celebrate the incredible accomplishment.

And on Friday, it's the Celtics' turn. So Belichick took a moment to send a message to the team.

"Congrats @celtics! This view doesn’t get old. Enjoy it out there today! – BB," he posted on his Foundation's account.
