Injuries are a big part of life in the NFL, and sometimes they define seasons for teams. This year, the Green Bay Packers have handled several ones, including two (knee and groin) from quarterback Jordan Love.

Happily, most of them are not season-ending, so the Packers may have most of their guys back for the final steps of the year.

Below, everything we know about the Packers' injury situations.

Short-term injuries

S Javon Bullard

  • Injury: ankle
  • Length of injury: week-to-week

What we know: Bullard left the Detroit Lions game early with an ankle injury. He was seen leaving the locker room on crutches, which is clearly not a great sign. The defensive back underwent an MRI to evaluate the damage. Matt LaFleur said it's a week-to-week injury.

CB Jaire Alexander

What we know: Alexander hurt his knee on October 27 against the Jaguars. He tried to return against the Bears on November 17, but aggravated the issue. He has missed three of the last four games. He returned to practice ahead of the Lions game, but was ruled out for Week 14. And he practiced on Wednesday and Thursday ahead of the Seattle Seahawks game, but was out of practice and ruled out for the game on Friday. The Packers are clearly being cautious with him.

Injured reserve

TE Luke Musgrave

  • Injury: ankle
  • Length of injury: 2/3 months
  • Placed on injured reserve: October 11
  • Designated for return: December 11
  • Earliest possible return game: Any time

What we know: Musgrave suffered a serious ankle injury and has missed the last nine games. The Packers designated him for return on December 11, ahead of the Seahawks game, opening up a 21-day practice window.

RB MarShawn Lloyd

  • Injury: appendicitis
  • Length of injury: 4-6 weeks
  • Placed on non-football illness list: November 20
  • Earliest possible return game: Week 16

What we know: Lloyd spent a good amount of time on IR because of an ankle injury. When he returned, the rookie running back had appendicitis. He was activated from IR, but placed on the non-football illness list. Although he missed the Chicago Bears game, he was only moved to reserve on November 20, so he will have to miss the games against the Lions and Seahawks before being eligible to return.

Out for the season

RB AJ Dillon

  • Injury: neck
  • Placed on injured reserve: August 27

What we know: Dillon had suffered a cervical neck stinger in Week 17 last season and missed the final stretch. He returned and had a normal training camp and preseason for the Packers after re-signing, but aggravated the stringer and was placed on IR before the initial 53-man roster without a designation for return, which means he won't get back in 2024. He is slated to be a free agent in 2025, so it's possible that Dillon has played his last down as a Packer.

TE Tyler Davis

  • Injury: shoulder
  • Placed on injured reserve: August 27

What we know: Like Dillon, Davis was placed on IR before the initial 53. It's a shoulder injury he suffered in preseason, and the second consecutive season that the special teams ace miss because of a long-term injury. In 2023, he had suffered a torn ACL.

G Jordan Morgan

  • Injury: shoulder
  • Placed on injured reserve: November 16

What we know: Morgan handled a shoulder injury throughout his entire rookie season. It aggravated during the Lions game in Week 9, and the rookie was placed on IR ahead of the Bears game. Technically, he is eligible to return, but Matt LaFleur confirmed he will miss the rest of the season.
