NASHVILLE — Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders spoke at this weekend's East-West Shrine Bowl on a variety of subjects. The topic most interesting to Tennessee Titans fans was, of course, what the son of Deion's interest was in being taken with the No. 1 overall pick in April's NFL Draft.

Mutual interest between player and team would certainly go a long way for fan feel-good.

Sheduer Sanders has plenty of interest in the Titans

Tennessee sent a sizable contingent to the Shrine Bowl to see Sanders and others this weekend.

With only quarterback Will Levis under contract heading into 2025, new general manager Mike Borgonzi must address the position in free agency at minimum. The question then becomes whether the Titans will also draft a passer at No. 1 overall, trade back and potentially add a player at the position later, or ride things out with Levis and an additional veteran.

"I'd love (to be the No. 1 overall draft pick," Sanders told Jim Wyatt of TennesseeTitans.com. "I would be thakful."

If a quarterback is taken in this year's first round, the decision is likely between Sanders and Miami's Cam Ward.

Sanders finished eighth in the Heisman Trophy voting following his senior season at Colorado. In 24 games as the Buffaloes starter, he completed 71.8% of his passes for 7,364 yards with 64 touchdowns against 13 interceptions. Sanders' trademark is his accuracy as a college quarterback.

Colorado finished 9-4 with a loss to BYU in the Alamo Bowl in Sanders' final season.
