The first significant milestone of the draft cycle has come with the Shrine Bowl being complete and the Senior Bowl game set to be played tonight.

Now that the Indianapolis Colts were able to watch many of the top prospects in the 2025 NFL Draft class up close at both events, it feels right to release an updated seven-round Colts mock draft. This includes the Colts making a trade in round one.

7 Round Colts 2025 NFL Mock Draft

Trade: Indianapolis send pick 14 to Green Bay for Pick 23, 55 (second), 160 (fifth) and a  2026 third

Round 1, Pick 23: Jihaad Campbell, LB, Alabama

After trading back, the Colts land Alabama linebacker Jihaad Campbell.  Campbell is viewed as the consensus top off-ball LB in this year's class. He offers a player who excels in coverage and aggressively attacks ball carriers. He would slide in as a starter on the Colts' defense as a rookie and would replace EJ Speed, who is set to hit free agency this offseason. I honestly wouldn't be shocked if we saw Campbell become the green dot for the Colts within his first two seasons if they made this selection.

Round 2, Pick 45: Xavier Watts, S, Notre Dame

This pick is a popular one in my Colts mock drafts. If the team elects to use the draft to address their need at safety, I believe Notre Dame's Xavier Watts is one of, if not the single best option. His ball skills and coverage ability at the free safety position would help him carve out a role as a starter as a rookie. And he would be a great complement to Nick Cross in the safety room.

Round 2, Pick 55: Azareye'h Thomas, CB, Florida State

Florida State corner Azareye'h Thomas had a great week at the 2025 Senior Bowl. His man-coverage ability should make him a top option for the Colts at the position, especially with their defensive system change that will call for a significant increase in man coverage. Thomas has the ability to be a day-one starter, ideally opposite of a veteran that the team signs when free agency kicks off.

Round 3, Pick 80: Mason Taylor, TE, LSU

One of the top tight ends at the Senior Bowl this year was LSU's Mason Taylor. He showed off his excellent route running for the position and his reliable hands. He was a top target for quarterbacks during team drills and consistently beat his assignments in one-on-ones. While he isn't a great blocker, he is a willing one. The Colts have needed a viable pass catcher at TE for quite some time, and Taylor projects as a real difference-maker at the position.

Round 4, Pick 115: Clay Webb, G, Jacksonville State

Another standout from the Senior Bowl selection with the Colts landing guard Clay Webb out of Jacksonville State. Webb was one of the strongest offensive linemen of the week and showed the ability to play multiple positions. The former Georgia Bulldog showed why he was once viewed as a top recruit and proved he should be drafted higher than people had previously expected. The Colts have a big question mark surrounding Will Fries, who is set to hit free agency. He is coming off a major injury but was playing the best football of his career prior to it. This selection of Webb would give the Colts a valuable backup if they choose to re-sign Fries or provide them with a player who can compete to be their starting right guard for 2025.

Round 5, Pick 152: Mitchell Evans, TE, Notre Dame

The Colts double up at TE In this mock draft by adding Notre Dame's Mitchell Evans. The Colts TE room was near the bottom of the league last season and needs a full makeover. Adding Evans, who is an excellent blocker and has had some great flashes in the passing game, to pair with Mason Taylor would be a great step toward doing just that.

Round 5, Pick 160: Ollie Gordon, RB, Oklahoma State

Jonathan Taylor had a great season in 2024, but they got next to nothing from the rest of the room. The team needs to add a back they can trust to take snaps behind Taylor, and preferably, it would be someone who could add elements Taylor doesn't. One of which is ability as a pass blocker. Oklahoma State's Ollie Gordon's big size helps him in that area, and he also showed he can be a real difference-maker with the ball in his hand in college. He led the entire FBS with 1,732 yards in 2023 and found the endzone 21 times.

Round 6, Pick 189: Junior Tafuna, DT, Utah

In the last couple of seasons, the Colts' run defense has taken a big step backward, especially if Grover Stewart has to miss any time. Junior Tafuna has a fantastic bull rush and simply overpowers his assignment. He would offer the Colts a developmental option who could become a key role player behind Stewart.

Round 7, Pick 233: Jalin Walker, LB, Indiana

To finish up this mock, the Colts take a second LB by selecting Indiana's Jalin Walker. The Colts have multiple LBs set to become free agents this offseason, so they might have to grab a few to fill out their roster ahead of the 2025 season. Walker shoots out of a cannon when attacking ball carriers, and his overall athleticism offers him a decent chance to develop as a coverage option at the next level. Walker was given a lot of responsibilities in the Hoosiers' defense this past year because his coaches trusted him that much. Walker should be able to make a role for himself on special teams early and could be Ballard's next-day three LB who becomes a future starter.
