Travis Hunter is going to bring more national spotlight to the Jacksonville Jaguars than perhaps any other player in franchise history during the 2025 season.

Everybody is fascinated as to whether he'll play more at wide receiver or cornerback as a rookie, and how well he will perform at each position. Four days into Jaguars training camp, we may have our answer.

According to ESPN's Michael DiRocco, Hunter has logged 36 snaps on offense, and 47 on defense throughout Jacksonville's first four practices. During 7-on-7 periods, Hunter has played slightly more at WR (11) than CB (7), but more at CB (40) than WR (25) in 11-on-11 scrimmages.

Hunter playing more defensively during 11-on-11 could be more telling, because that's as close to game action as you can get during practice. He also made an impressive pass breakup at CB during Saturday's practice.

The closing speed of Hunter is really on display in that clip. He played more snaps at CB than he did at WR during his collegiate days at Colorado and Jackson State, so that might be where he's most comfortable.

Regardless of where he plays the most, he will have an opportunity to make a big impact on both sides of the ball. How the Jacksonville brass decides to handle Hunter will be fascinating. If he excels at one position, will it effect how much he is used at the other?

Managing his snaps will also be crucial to not wear him down throughout the long NFL season. Per NFL Research, no player has averaged more than 78 snaps per game in the past decade, so that will definitely be worth monitoring. If Hunter can pull off being a two-way player for multiple seasons, he will go down as one of the most transcendent players in NFL history, and make the Jags must-watch television.
