Former Michigan Wolverines star left an Ohio State practice making quite the admission about the Buckeyes

He called it like he watched it happen and it could mean good things for the Buckeyes.

The next time anyone gets a good look at the Ohio State Buckeyes will be when they take the field against the Texas Longhorns.

Ohio State’s practices are closed for the rest of the month, and the quarterback competition between Julian Sayin and Lincoln Kienholz remains ongoing.

A new development, however, comes from a former Michigan star who believes the Buckeyes’ offense will be in good hands, largely due to a major transfer addition.

Jake Butt is high on what the Ohio State offense will be

“I don’t know what defenses will be able to do to stop the offense,” Butt wrote on X. “You have to play split safety to slow down these WRs, but I watched Klare create separation with ease, and Thurman is a problem to deal with because of his size. So, do you have a LB try to guard them with no safety help? That can’t be the game plan, in my opinion. Too good. Klare is a different talent than OSU has had at the position, and the room is the deepest it’s been.”

Klare broke out last year with 685 yards and four touchdowns at Purdue and is now set for a big role with the Buckeyes. While Jeremiah Smith will be the focal point of the offense, Klare — along with playmakers like Carnell Tate, Brandon Inniss, and the running backs — will be a key part of Ohio State’s attack.

Opening against Texas will be a tough test, even at home, as the Longhorns begin the Arch Manning era. Expect Ohio State to get the ball to Klare and other Buckeyes when Texas focuses on limiting Smith.
