On3 revealed their preseason All-Transfer Portal team on Wednesday and a Tennessee Vols newcomer was included.
Offensive guard Wendell Moe was the only Tennessee player named to On3’s All-Transfer Portal team.
Moe started his career at Arizona before transferring to Tennessee this past winter.
Moe is set to start at left guard for the Vols this fall.
From On3: The two-year starting offensive guard at Arizona, Wendell Moe, has not missed a beat since transferring to Tennessee this offseason. One of Tennessee’s most heralded portal pickups in fall camp, he played 760 snaps without a penalty or giving up a sack last year and has shown why to this point in training camp. “He’s really, really good,” a source told On3. The 6-foot-2, 335-pound offensive lineman chose Tennessee over Auburn and started 11 of 12 games last season for the Wildcats.
Moe has received rave reviews throughout the offseason.
“I love Wendell Moe, I do,” said VolQuest’s Brent Hubbs in May during an appearance on 104.5 The Zone. “I think Wendell Moe is going to be a really good player. I think that was a really good transfer portal get for Tennessee. I think he’s going to be an anchor for them at guard inside. I love his physicality.”
SEC Network analyst Cole Cubelic also had some high praise for Moe during the offseason.
“I do like Wendell Moe that you got from Arizona,” said Cubelic earlier this spring. “I think he’s a good player and a bit of a tone setter guy that you need.”
Moe will make his debut for the Volunteers on August 30 when Tennessee opens the 2025 season against the Syracuse Orange in Atlanta.

Aguilar beat out redshirt freshman Jake Merklinger and true freshman George MacIntyre for the job. The expectation was always that Aguilar would win the job, but it was far from certain that he would, since the California native […]
