A former Tennessee Vols defensive lineman who was waived on Tuesday is reportedly signing a deal with the Tennessee Titans.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported on Tuesday afternoon that former Vols defensive lineman Shy Tuttle is signing a one-year deal with the Titans.
Tuttle was released earlier on Tuesday by the Carolina Panthers.
It was a bit of a surprise that Carolina released Tuttle on Tuesday. The former Vol started 32 games for the Panthers over the last two seasons. Tuttle also started 33 games for the New Orleans Saints from 2019 to 2022.
The North Carolina native, who played at Tennessee from 2015 to 2018, has totaled 232 tackles, 4.5 sacks, and 1o tackles for loss in his NFL career. He also came down with a memorable interception during his rookie season.
