A former Tennessee Vols player who is entering his 16th season in the NFL was officially named a team captain this week.

Former Vols long snapper Morgan Cox was announced this week as one of the Tennessee Titans’ seven team captains for the 2025 season.

Cox, who is from Collierville, TN, played for the Volunteers from 2005 to 2009.

Cox was signed by Baltimore Ravens as an undrafted free agent in 2010.

The former Vol spent the first 11 seasons of his career with the Ravens before signing with the Titans in 2021.

Cox, who has reached five Pro Bowls, won a Super Bowl ring with the Ravens in early 2013 (Super Bowl XLVII — AKA “The Harbaugh Bowl”).

This is the third straight season that Cox, one of the longest-tenured players in the NFL, has been named a team captain for the Titans.
