2026 five-star wide receiver Tristen Keys, a Tennessee Vols commit since late August, returned to action this past weekend after missing some time due to injury.

Keys scored a touchdown in his return to the field for Hattiesburg High School, and he broke out a celebration that briefly had fans nervous.

The Mississippi native caught a pass and made a nice move on a defensive back before scampering into the end zone for the touchdown.

When Keys scored, he faked an injury before launching into a celebratory shuffle.

Tristen Keys is one of the top rated 2026 recruits in the nation

Keys, 6-foot-3/180 lbs from Hattiesburg, MS, is rated in 247Sports’ composite rankings as the No. 1 wide receiver in the nation and the No. 6 overall player in the 2026 recruiting class.

The five-star recruit committed to the LSU Tigers in March, but he flipped to Tennessee in August thanks to a strong effort from the Volunteers’ coaching staff, led by wide receivers coach Kelsey Pope.

“Excels in contested catch situations, elevating to come down with acrobatic grabs,” reads a scouting report from On3 on Keys. “Hangs in the air and is able to contort his body into favorable positions. Displays a huge catch radius, high-pointing the football and coming down with one-handed grabs. High-level ball tracker with the ability to locate and corral the ball over his shoulder. Shows some route-running nuance. Has some shake off the line of scrimmage and is able to stack corners with his releases. Runs hard after the catch. Able to attack all areas of the field with his well-rounded skill set.”

Tennessee has 24 players committed to its 2026 recruiting class, which is ranked No. 8 in the nation.
