Lions give huge injury update on Terrion Arnold, plus an update on Kalif Raymond and more
Very bad news for the Lions and their secondary
Welp, this is not great at all. Detroit Lions cornerback Terrion Arnold has been so good in the last few weeks. On Sunday he he went against Ja’Marr Chase and absolutley handled him. Then he went out with a shoulder injury in the second half, and things dropped off pretty quickly. Now we know that the injury was bad enough to shelf him for a while.
Terrion Arnold will be out for a while with an injury
“So unfortunately, he’s gonna be out for a while. He’s gonna be out for a long time.” Cmapbell said. When asked if it was a season-ending thing, he responded, “I don’t know that, but it’ll be a while. It’s gonna be a while.”
This is a huge loss ot go through with Patrick Mahomes and Baker Mayfield coming up on the schedule. You have to believe that the Lions are going to be looking in he cornerback market this week to see if they can mitigate the loss of Arnold while they also wait to get D.J. Reed back. The latter can come back after the bye week.
The Lions also said that backup cornerback and special teams gunner Khalil Dorsey is going to be out for a while. No timeline was given for either player. In terms of Kalif Raymond, Campbell said on Sunday night that he avoided anything serious with the neck injury and said that the Lions will see where things go this week with him. So we’ll see what happens on Wednesday when the team returns to practice.
