After a tough early start to the 2025 college football season, the Notre Dame team is beginning to get things turned around on the field. There has been a lot of excitement around head coach Marcus Freeman and everything that this program is accomplishing. We have seen those dividends already paying off for the Fighting Irish recruiting operation.

It is early for the 2027 recruiting class, but Notre Dame is off to a very strong start. They are quietly positioning themselves for a wealth of talented players already. Here are the next three commitments that I could see the Irish staff landing.

DT Brayden Parks – Oak Lawn (Ill.) Brother Rice

At 6-3 and 305 pounds, Parks is the type of impact size that Notre Dame needs to find more and more of on their defensive line. Parks is rated as a top-150 caliber player by multiple of the major recruiting platforms, and he is a local kid from Illinois. The Irish staff needs to do a better job of keeping these types of kids at home, and I like their chances right now. Parks has been on campus several times since he was officially offered during the Pot of Gold. There is clearly interest from both sides, and I like the Irish to get this one done.

CB Tavares Harrington – Chicago (Ill.) Mount Carmel

Funny enough, Harrington just faced off against Parks this past week, and his team came out on top. At 6-3 and 175 pounds, Harrington is a long and physical cornerback who also has the upside to potentially play safety or nickel on the college level. Notre Dame has interest in several players from Mount Carmel, and they have been pushing hard for Harrington. There isn’t an official decision date that has been set, but I wouldn’t be shocked if some clarity on that timeline is disclosed somewhat soon. Harrington is the type of defensive back that Mike Mickens typically gravitates towards, and I think he gets this one done when a decision is made.

OT Cameron Wagner – Saint Joseph (Ill.) Ogden

At 6-6 and 300 pounds, Wagner definitely fits the mold of what Joe Rudolph typically likes in his offensive linemen. Wagner was offered following his performance at a camp last summer, and the Irish staff has pursued him in a big way since then. Having made a couple of trips already, this one feels like it is trending very favorably toward Notre Dame. Offensive linemen tend to make decisions earlier than most position groups, so I wouldn’t be shocked if this happens at any point. Wagner is another player who appears to be a perfect fit with Notre Dame in an ideal world.
