Colts are down multiple starters for Week 7, but they also got some unexpected positive news to soften the blow
The Colts final injury report gave them some positive news paired with expected bad news.
The 5-1 Indianapolis Colts must battle through multiple significant injuries on their roster ahead of Week 7. This week, they are traveling across the country to take on the 4-2 Los Angeles Chargers in their second matchup of the year at SoFi Stadium. They are hoping for a different result after their Week 4 loss to the Los Angeles Rams.
Colts announced that CB Kenny Moore II is set to return to the field in Week 7 after missing their past three matchups

Head coach Shane Steichen shared that the team will be without multiple starters against the Chargers. The team will be without starting CB Charvarius Ward, who suffered a concussion ahead of Week 6 during pre-game workouts. They will also be without starting slot WR Josh Downs, who is also in the league’s concussion protocol. It wasn’t all bad news, though, as Steichen also announced that star slot CB Kenny Moore II is expected to make his return this week.
Moore suffered what was being called a calf injury in the team’s Week 3 win over the Tennessee Titans. It ended his day early, and the team felt the need to clarify days later that he was actually dealing with an Achilles injury. He’s been held out of Weeks 4-6 for the Colts as the team takes it safe with their star CB.
They elected not to place him on the IR, meaning the Colts brass didn’t believe he would have to miss the four games that move required. Rightfully so, as the team now believes their star CB is ready to go for Week 7. The team’s official injury report has Moore listed as questionable, but this seems like a precaution just in case Moore were to have a setback between now and Sunday. The expectation is that he will be out there ready to go.
