Jets land the face of the franchise, load up on elite talent in latest 2-year first-round NFL mock draft projection

Two-year first round projections for the New York Jets gifts the franchise an absurd amount of talent.

Auburn wide receiver Cam Coleman (8) receives a pass to pull in a touchdown past Vanderbilt cornerback Martel Hight (4) during the fourth quarter at FirstBank Stadium in Nashville, Tenn., Saturday, Nov. 8, 2025.

The New York Jets are clearly focused on the long-term outlook for the organization after trading away both Sauce Gardner and Quinnen Williams ahead of the trade deadline. With five first round picks over the next two years, both general manager Darren Mougey and head coach Aaron Glenn will have the opportunity to flip the fortunes of this team quickly. They will need to turn that capital into impact football players in order to do so.

To have a little bit of fun, I projected those five first rounders, and the players who could make sense for the Jets in those particular spots. If the Jets did land this type of haul, the Jets could be an extremely dangerous team, and quickly. It all starts with finding the face of their franchise.

2026 NFL Draft

Round 1, Pick 5: Dante Moore, QB, Oregon

The Jets need to find their quarterback of the future by any means necessary. There is a chance that they use some of their draft capital to jump up to get their guy, but if they could sit there at No. 5 and get someone like Moore, it would be a win-win. The Oregon signal caller could potentially head back to school in 2026, but we will cross that bridge when we come to it. He is an incredibly east thrower who has shown some toughness working against pressure. There is still a lot of upside for Moore to tap into.

Round 1, Pick 32: Caleb Banks, DT, Florida

A massive human being at around 6-6 and 333 pounds, most have forgotten just how talented Banks is while being out with his injury. When healthy, he has elite talent, but is still a very raw player. If the Jets are able to develop him properly, Banks has the talent to become a dominant interior presence for the team. This could end up being a huge steal if Banks becomes the player that he is capable of for the long term.

2027 NFL Draft

Round 1, Pick 5: Leonard Moore, CB, Notre Dame

At 6-2 and 195 pounds, Moore is arguably the most talented cornerback Notre Dame has had in the past 30-plus years. Possessing impressive long speed, a big frame, and some surprising change of direction skills, Moore looks like a CB1 on the NFL level. “Replacing” Sauce Gardner won’t be easy, but you can make an argument that Moore is even more talented. He has a chance to be special.

Round 1, Pick 15: Cam Coleman, WR, Auburn

From a talent level, Coleman has the upside to go inside the top ten selections when all is said and done. His production hasn’t quite matched the talent so far, but that is more about the cast around him than any fault with Coleman. At 6-3 and 201 pounds, the Auburn star possesses an unreal catch radius and ability to make catches in 1-on-1 situations. There is a whole lot of AJ Green in his game.

Round 1, Pick 32: Nate Frazier, RB, Georgia

Frazier was a former five-star recruit, and he finally showed that massive potential this past week against Mississippi State when he rushed for 181 yards and a touchdown on just 12 carries. That feels like a breakout game for Frazier, and it could springboard the 5-10, 205-pound runner into stardom. He has every tool to develop into a big-time playmaker.
