The Texas A&M Aggies are fresh off of what might be their most impressive win of the season, taking down South Carolina 31-30. Their epic second half comeback was the stuff of legends, and it served as a testament to what this team is capable of at their best and their ability to overcome adversity.

With that game serving as the Aggies’ first home game of the season, the crowd was absolutely rocking at Kyle Field. Once momentum shifted early in the third quarter, South Carolina’s offense could barely operate with the crowd noise, and when A&M took the lead early in the fourth, the pop from the crowd was overwhelming, even on the broadcast.

It’s safe to say that the environment was a major factor in this game, and that was something A&M’s coaching staff was counting on heading into this weekend. A&M played host to a veritable festival of visiting recruits this weekend in College Station, and they were counting on the crowd to deliver a taste of what Aggie football could be like for these recruits. If the latest predictions hold true, it’s safe to say the crowd delivered that – and more this weekend.

Texas A&M Massive Recruiting Weekend Set to Pay off big time

The biggest priority visit for the Aggies this weekend was 2026 five-star safety Bralan Womack. An Auburn commit, the firing of Hugh Freeze opened the door to his recruitment, and the Aggies have swooped in to try and flip the elite defensive back.

The visit went so well that Steve Wiltfong, the vice president of recruiting at Rivals, has logged a prediction for A&M to flip Womack away from Auburn to add him to their already elite class of 2026.

Womack would be A&M’s fourth five-star recruit of the class of 2026. Additionally, Womack would be their highest-ranked safety recruit ever and their highest-ranked defensive back recruit ever according to 247Sports prospect ratings.

But wait, there’s more! Womack isn’t the only elite recruit that Wiltfong predicted the Aggies would flip following this massive weekend.

Four-star defensive end KJ Ford, a Florida commit, made his third visit to College Station for this weekend. Ford, the 14th-ranked EDGE in the class of 2026, and the 104th overall recruit in the class committed to Florida over Alabama in the summer. However, the Texas native has remained interested in the Aggies, and now it seems like the momentum for Elko and this coaching staff is now maxed out for him to flip and join the class.

Ford would be A&M’s third EDGE commit in this class, joining five-star Tristian Givens and four-star Samu Moala.

These two additions would be huge for the Aggies’ recruiting momentum. If A&M added those two, they would rise from the seventh overall 2026 class to third in the country, overtaking Alabama and sitting just narrowly behind the Georgia Bulldogs.

If that were to happen, A&M would then have the third overall class of 2026 and the number-one class in the class of 2027, forming the key building blocks of the future for Mike Elko and this A&M coaching staff.
