The 2026 recruiting class of the Florida Gators has yet to have one of its commitments flip or decommit after the firing of head coach Billy Napier. That’s not to say they aren’t taking visits or considering other options, but with December 3rd’s early signing day coming up, different commitments can still happen.

Four-star cornerback C.J. Bronaugh just got predicted to flip to the Ohio State Buckeyes and four-star edge rusher KJ Ford to the Texas A&M Aggies. The latest to take a visit outside of the program could end up making a jump.

Florida Gators hoping to keep top running back commit

When the Gators secured the commitment of four-star running back Carsyn Baker, it was an exciting one. He projects to be one of the better running backs in the class, and he’s got great size (6-1, 197 lbs) to pair with his athleticism.

Baker has already made visits to the Ole Miss Rebels and Kentucky Wildcats in recent weeks, and is now making a visit to the North Carolina Tar Heels and Super Bowl champion Bill Belichick this weekend and the Georgia Tech Bulldogs on November 29th. Those could end up swaying his opinion and convince him to change his commitment.

It’s not just about the teams and coaching staffs that Baker is looking for, it’s about the atmosphere.

“It is about the people,” Baker said of his commitment to Florida. “I am taking visits to see how I feel about the different schools. The culture and environment are important to me.”

Baker is a four-star recruit who ranks 211th in the nation, the 15th-ranked running back, and 26th-ranked recruit in the state of Georgia. He is the only running back in the 2026 recruiting class for the Gators, and finding another one this late in the game could be a difficult task.
