Titans getting more scoring production from special teams in the last two games than from Cam Ward and the Titans offense

The Titans’ special teams unit is leading the way right now.

NASHVILLE — The Tennessee Titans (1-10) have plenty of issues on offense. One glaring statistic highlights just why it’s been so hard for the team to make any progress from last year’s 3-14 efforts.

Tennessee’s offense has scored as many touchdowns (two) in the last three weeks as rookie receiver Chimere Dike has punt return scores.

Chimere Dike is having an All-Pro season

One of three Titans’ fourth-round picks in this year’s draft, Dike has been an absolute stud.

Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks, Dike ran a punt back 90 yards for a score. That’s two weeks removed from his career-first return touchdown, a 67-yard punt return against the Los Angeles Chargers. Unfortunately for Tennessee, its league-worst offense cannot support the special teams’ efforts and play complementary football.

Regardless, on a terrible Titans team, Dike should be a lock for both Pro Bowl and All-Pro.
