Courtland Guillory made sure to let one LSU player know he got what he deserved after doing what no player should do during warm-ups

Guillory wasn’t going to let that slide from Barion Brown and the Tigers.

On Saturday, the Oklahoma Sooners punched their ticket to the College Football Playoff with a win over LSU. That had to feel good for players, coaches, and a program that hasn’t seen this sort of success in a while, even though they are historically good.

Before the game started, the Sooners may have had a little extra motivation, as LSU wide receiver Barion Brown was seen purposely messing up Oklahoma’s home field. It’s grass, so, of course, he was digging his cleats into the painted areas, creating ruts and such.

True freshman cornerback Courtland Guillory let everyone know that Brown got exactly what he deserved.

“9 yards btw,” Guillory put on his Instagram story with the video, while making sure he tagged Brown.

Giving this team, out of any team in the country, extra motivation is just asking to get beaten. The Sooners thrive off of that kind of thing, only they let their play do the talking.

Guillory locked up Brown, capping off an elite freshman season

Guillory, for most of the season, was the Sooners’ best cornerback. It was either him or Eli Bowen, and the depth behind the two of them was great, too. Guillory had some fantastic matchups this season.

Against the Ole Miss Rebels, the best offense in college football, he was targeted 10 times but allowed just two catches for seven yards.

Of course, his matchup against Auburn Tigers wide receiver Cam Coleman wasn’t his best, but man, did he show so much potential in that game.

As a true freshman and a former three-star, Guillory will be a great player for the Sooners in the future. He has the type of game and confidence that will make him a target for NFL teams in two years. Brent Venables and his staff truly nailed that recruitment.
