To get respect in this league, you have to earn it and that’s exactly what the Chicago Bears did on Friday night taking down the Philadelphia Eagles on the road with the entire globe watching.

It’s not just that the Bears won against the defending Super Bowl champions, they absolutely out-coached and out-played the Eagles. To make things sweeter, Chicago woke up on Monday as the No. 1 seed in the NFC entering Week 14.

With a 9-3 start to the season, the Bears have earned some of the nation respect their starting to receive from around the league and there’s no better testament to that than the current positional rankings for the 2025 Pro Bowl vote.

Multiple Bears standouts among Top-10 in positional Pro Bowl rankings

On Monday, the update totals were released for the Pro Bowl voting and the Chicago Bears were well accounted for on both sides of the football.

Veteran safety Kevin Byard leads all free safeties in votes and left guard Joe Thuney leads all guards. Byard currently leads the NFL with six interceptions this season and is well on his way toward a third Pro Bowl nod and potentially a third first-team All Pro selection. Thuney is one of three starting guards to allow zero sacks this season and is looking to be selected to his fourth Pro Bowl.

Cornerback Nahshon Wright, the team’s biggest surprise this season, currently ranks second at his position trailing Carolina Panthers cornerback Jaycee Horn. Wright leads the league in takeaways and his five interceptions on the season ranks second behind Byard. Center Drew Dalman ranks second in his position as well behind Kansas City Chiefs center Creed Humphry. Dalman has allowed just one sack and 15 total pressures this season.

Other players within the Top-5 of their respective positions include right tackle Darnell Wright (4th) long snapper Scott Daly (3rd), return man Devin Duvernay (4th) and special teamer Josh Blackwell (3rd). Bears players within the Top-10 include defensive end Montez Sweat (8th), right guard Jonah Jackson (7th), punter Tory Taylor (8th), quarterback Caleb Williams (7th), running back D’Andre Swift (10th), rookie tight end Colston Loveland (8th), and strong safety Jaquan Brisker (9th), and wide receiver Rome Odunze (10th).

It’s worth noting these rankings aren’t the end all be all for the voting process. There’s still five weeks remaining in the regular season and consensus vote comes from three groups — players, coaches, and fans. Cornerback Jaylon Johnson, for example, didn’t rank highly on the fan votes but still earned a nod from the players and coaches votes last year. Still, it’s exciting to see so many Bears players in contention.
