Eagles OC Kevin Patullo impressively takes high road regarding recent vandalism of his house during current struggles
The Eagles coach is standing up for his family following the vandalism incident.
The Philadelphia Eagles have another major test right around the corner with the Los Angeles Chargers. They cannot overlook that challenge, and the offense must absolutely step up in order for them to beat the Bolts. With that, offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo has some pressure on him.
That being said, a recent vandalism incident at Patullo’s home was simply a step too far when it comes to fans taking out their anger with their favorite team.
Eagles OC Kevin Patullo responds to egging incident at his home
Patullo responded to the situation in a respectful manner ahead of the Eagles’ Week 14 matchup with the Chargers. The Eagles offensive coordinator understands the frustration but must draw a line when his own family is involved. He wants them to always be safe – which is 100% understandable.
“It’s perfectly acceptable to sit up here and talk about what’s going on, how to fix it, what we’re going to do going forward, and we know that. But when it involves your family, obviously it crosses the line. And so, that happened. At this point, we’ve just gotta move on. We’re trying to win. That’s all we want to do is focus — whether it’s my family, whether it’s the team — all we’re trying to do together is focus on this week.” — Kevin Patullo on recent vandalism at his home
I talked with Rob Gregson last week when the incident occurred. It is something that is simply embarrassing for the party who did it, regardless of how you feel about the coach’s performance this season for Philly.
“The pass plays look vanilla far too often, and QB Jalen Hurts’ tendency to overlook potential downfield gains due to the risk involved. That’s hurt his receivers’ ability to truly change the game, only leading to more distrust in the QB. Yes, frustration with the new play caller makes sense. No, this sort of behavior toward his personal life is unacceptable.” — A to Z Sports
There was also a recent report from ESPN indicating that head coach Nick Sirianni has been more involved with the offense’s preparation ahead of Monday’s game. It sounds like he has been more vocal when discussing how the Eagles will attack offensively going forward.
No matter what – the pressure is on for Patullo and the entire offensive coaching staff. We will see what is ahead for the Eagles.
