Saints’ Cam Jordan gets last laugh vs. Bucs and dunks on them after New Orleans lands massive punch on Tampa Bay’s playoff chances
Cam Jordan got to poke some fun at Buccaneers GM Jason Licht.
The New Orleans Saints may have sacrificed some 2026 NFL Draft leverage in Week 14, but their surprising win over the NFC South-leading Tampa Bay Buccaneers has engineered some energy for the team and fans amid a frustrating season.
Saints’ Cam Jordan shows confidence after upset win vs. Buccaneers
The veteran EDGE rusher has never been quiet when it comes to his opinions or beliefs on social media. Jordan’s latest antics will have Saints fans chuckling quite a bit and appreciating what the defender has done for them over the course of his career. He had a solid game on Sunday against Tampa, but that has been the norm for him.
Licht has not shied away from comical jabs on social media in the past when it comes to the Saints – or Jordan, in particular. Jordan has replied to those sort of posts at times, but Jordan’s response was a bit more reserved this time.
Tampa’s chances at a playoff berth took a notable hit this weekend, as the Carolina Panthers sat idle on their bye week. The Bucs still sit in first place but hold the same record as Carolina at 7-6. Neither the Atlanta Falcons or the Saints are in the race at this point.
“The Buccaneers rose to the top of the NFC and were considered Super Bowl contenders by making clutch plays in the biggest moments through the first two months of the season, and now they’re a total shell of what they once were.” — Evan Winter
For New Orleans, this win was a bright moment as they try to figure out whether to not Tyler Shough is the future at quarterback for their team. In Week 14, he absolutely lived up to securing that role in the future. His grit and play making ability shined brightly in the victory over Tampa Bay.
