Jalen Hurts had a night that he would love to forget ever happened during the Philadelphia Eagles’ Week 14 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers. Actually, he may want to remember this struggle and attempt to learn from it. Hurts’ stat sheet is something that Eagles fans would rather not look at from this loss.

Jalen Hurts throws four interceptions in overtime loss to Chargers

The Eagles quarterback had a night to forget when it seemed like all of the pressure was on his shoulders due to the offense’s recent issues when it comes to consistency and efficiency. Against the Chargers, Hurts made the kind of NFL history you never want to make. His performance was a “QBgame” – a statistical performance never before seen in the league.

Unfortunately, it was due to his massive struggles and lack of scoring through the air. Hurts totaled 240 passing yards but threw four interceptions and turned the football over five times total. It is the 6,397th unique QB stat line in league history. His final interception ended the game and handed Philly the loss.

Additionally, according to Elias Sports Bureau, no player before tonight had committed two turnovers on one play (since 1978). That is yet another tough piece of history for Hurts to place himself alongside with this concerning performance.

This loss is another disappointing game from the Eagles where the defense made a lot of plays and pressured the opposing quarterback. That being said, a special teams gaff and issues along the offense in the passing game were simply too costly for the team in green.

The Eagles will look to get back on track once again in Week 15. Phlly still sits atop the NFC East at 8-5. The Dallas Cowboys are in their rear view mirror, yet approaching, at 6-6-1 through fourteen weeks of play.
