The Tennessee Vols received some news on Thursday that was expected, but it’s still going to sting for fans.

Vols redshirt junior wide receiver Chris Brazzell officially declared for the 2026 NFL Draft on Thursday.

Brazzell, who transferred from Tulane to Tennessee ahead of the 2024 season, caught 62 passes for 1,017 yards and nine touchdowns for the Volunteers in 2025.

The Texas native won’t play for the Vols later this month in the Music City Bowl against Illinois.

Chris Brazzell is the second Vol to declare for the 2026 NFL Draft

Brazzell’s decision to enter the NFL Draft comes a day after Vols cornerback Jermod McCoy made the same decision.

McCoy is expected to be a first round selection in the draft. Brazzell’s draft stock isn’t quite as clear, though he should be selected in the first couple of rounds.

Brazzell finishes his Tennessee career with 91 receptions for 1,350 yards and nine touchdowns. His most memorable moment as a Vol was almost certainly his game-winning touchdown catch against Alabama in 2024.
