He’s not going to be able to finish out the Kansas City Chiefs’ season, and he may not even start the next one, but this season, Patrick Mahomes showed that he is the ultimate leader and teammate. For most of the season, it felt like Mahomes and Chris Jones were the only two guys who played every single game with the fire and passion we’ve seen the dynasty display for years.

The knee injury to Mahomes is devastating. It’s easily the biggest obstacle he’s ever had in his career. While it doesn’t mean his career is over, or that he can’t still be the best quarterback in the NFL, it’s still something no one wanted. And no one definitely wanted it to happen at the end of the season so that it would bleed over into next season.

Even with this injury, Mahomes has still found a way to be one of the best leaders and teammates he can be.

Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes gifts his teammates the perfect Christmas present

Christmas is in just a few days, and while Mahomes is recovering from the ACL surgery he has already had, he’s still found a way to make sure his teammates are taken care of. According to several Chiefs players’ Instagram stories, Mahomes gave players on the team PlayStation 5s with protective, portable cases.

We know that in the past, Mahomes has gotten his offensive line customer golf carts and plenty of other things. Mahomes, the half-billion-dollar man, has to be the best kind of gift-giver.

For the offensive line this year, he got them watches, luggage carriers, and e-bikes. He takes care of his own, especially the guys catching the balls he throws, and the ones protecting him from getting hit.

Let’s hope that next season he is giving the gift of another Super Bowl win.
