The Dallas Cowboys have five Pro Bowlers in their ranks.

The NFL announced its Pro Bowl selections for this year’s Pro Bowl Games and unsurprisingly, the Cowboys offense is sending multiple players while only having one representative on the defensive side. Let’s dive into the players making it, and some takeaways, starting with one that says a lot about a recent decision.

Cowboys’ Pro Bowl selections

  • QB Dak Prescott
  • WR George Pickens
  • LG Tyler Smith
  • K Brandon Aubrey
  • DT Quinnen Williams

Tyler Smith is off to a Hall of Fame start

The Cowboys decided to move Smith from left guard to left tackle last week and plan for him to stay there through the end of the season, even if former first-round pick Tyler Guyton returns from injury. Though he was solid there on Sunday, Smith’s latest Pro Bowl selection reminds us of his sheer dominance when playing at guard. He’s off to a Hall of Fame-caliber start.

This is Smith’s third career Pro Bowl in his first four NFL seasons and his third consecutive Pro Bowl bid. He joins franchise legends Zack Martin Larry Allen as the only guards in team history to make at least three Pro Bowls within their first four years in the league.

The one year he didn’t make it to the Pro Bowl was his rookie season, when he had to switch positions right before the season due to a preseason Tyron Smith injury. While the Cowboys are seemingly evaluating if Smith could play left tackle in the future, the question they need to ask themselves is if they’re willing to pass on his unquestionable greatness inside.

George Pickens mania

It’s a shame we won’t see Pickens in the NFL playoffs. But his Pro Bowl bid—a first in his career—serves as a bow to what has been a remarkable season for the Cowboys WR. You know all about the stats. But the most impressive part about his 2025 run in Dallas has been the fact that we discovered how complete he is as a receiver.

At Pittsburgh, it was pretty much go route or bust. In Dallas, he dominated defenses with the slant for most of the year. He was just as dangerous running a dig route or an out route. And as a teammate? He excelled all year, despite what the pundits had to say after a down performance in Detroit.

Pro Bowl selections that sting

Quinnen Williams being named to the Pro Bowl Games is no surprise. The dude is a beast, and we should all be glad he’s a Cowboy. Unfortunately, his arrival was too little to late to save an underwhelming defense. But that isn’t the selection that stings.

Instead, it’s Micah Parsons and DeMarcus Lawrence in their new teams. Yeah, it’s December, and Cowboys Nation should move on. But when Jerry Jones is acknowledging the defense can’t rush the passer and it can’t stop the run, it’s difficult to act like losing those two wasn’t an enormous factor. It was.

Meanwhile, Dallas has only one defender earning Pro Bowl honors.

Prescott and Aubrey are no surprise

Prescott has been one of the NFL’s best quarterbacks in 2025 and it’s good to see him get recognition for it. This will be his fourth Pro Bowl bid, tying him with Tony Romo and putting him two behind Roger Staubach and Troy Aikman.

Meanwhile, Aubrey is off to a perfect start, as far as the Pro Bowl Games are concerned. He is three for three to start his career, becoming the first NFL kicker in history to earn such honors in each of his three years in the league.
