The Indianapolis Colts have let a once-promising season slip out of their hands. They are now 8-7, but did have some good news announced on Tuesday. The team had two players named to the NFL Pro Bowl, Jonathan Taylor and Quenton Nelson.

They may have some more Colts teammates with them by the time it’s all said and done. The NFL also announced the alternates for each position. The Colts landed four players on that list, including Daniel Jones, who obviously won’t be able to accept either way due to tearing his right Achilles tendon.

5 Colts players named Pro Bowl alternates: Tyler Warren, Ashton Dulin, Cam Bynum, Michael Pittman Jr., and Daniel Jones

Jones’ earning a spot as an alternate is impressive, but, as mentioned above, there’s no chance he will join his teammates at the Pro Bowl due to injury. Ashton Dulin is also currently injured and on the IR, so it seems safe to assume he also won’t be participating this year. The other three alternates could make their way into the Pro Bowl if anyone were to drop out or make the Super Bowl.

First up is rookie Tyler Warren, who many thought had a good chance at making the Pro Bowl outright, but lost out to Brock Bowers and Travis Kelce. Neither will be in the playoffs, so the only shot Warren would have to be added is if one of them drops out for another reason. Right now, it seems like a long shot that we see Warren added. Warren’s fellow pass catcher Michael Pittman Jr. also was named an alternate, which surprises some due to the fact Alec Pierce has arguably been the teams top WR in 2025.

The last alternate is safety Cam Bynum, whom the Colts signed this offseason. Bynum leads the Colts with four interceptions and has been one of the steady contributors on a defense that has had a very rocky season. Three safeties were named to the Pro Bowl in the AFC: Jalen Ramsey, Kyle Hamilton, and Derwin James. It doesn’t seem likely that any of their teams make the Super Bowl, which makes his odds of joining the Pro Bowl relatively low at the moment.
