Dolphins 4-Round 2026 NFL Mock Draft: Miami loads up in the trenches and finds an intriguing upside bet at quarterback

The Dolphins’ 2026 NFL Draft strategy could have their cake and eat it, too.

The Miami Dolphins‘ blueprint for a successful 2026 offseason could look a lot of different ways. The most basic common themes are likely to be the same across all of them: limit cash spending versus this five-year splurge, successfully target meaningful players in the 2026 NFL Draft, and fortify the foundation of the roster.

This is no longer the team that should be ambitiously swinging for the fences. This is a team that needs to make its shots count and embrace a methodical approach to stacking a good roster. That will be the primary objective of Miami’s new general manager — whoever it may be. They say the NFL Draft is the lifeblood of an NFL roster, so let’s take a fresh look at the Dolphins’ 2026 NFL Draft capital and what Miami could possibly do with it.

Here’s a four-round 2026 NFL mock draft for the Miami Dolphins this offseason.

11th overall – OL Francis Mauigoa, Miami Hurricanes

The Dolphins did well in 2025 to get back to investing in the line of scrimmage. The growth of LT Patrick Paul, the promise of OG Jonah Savaiinaea, and the trio of young rookie defensive tackles give Miami a strong foundation to build around.

But the work is not finished. Miami has a chance to strip some cash spending and get a little more durable on the right side of the line between OG James Daniels and RT Austin Jackson. Mauigoa, who knows how to succeed playing football in South Florida quite well, could be an answer at either spot.

44th overall – SAF Emmanuel McNeil-Warren, Toledo Rockets

The Dolphins will need to decide on Minkah Fitzpatrick this offseason; he’s in the last year of his current contract and owed $15.6 million. Even if the Dolphins were to extend Fitzpatrick (I’d support it), the rest of the safety room is a bit touch-and-go. Rookie Dante Trader Jr. appears to be a keeper, but he’s at his best in lower to the line of scrimmage, and he’s not a particularly dynamic player.

McNeil-Warren is more diverse and much more dynamic. He’s got great length and plus ball skills to help this Dolphins defense manufacture more takeaways, too.

75th overall – EDGE Akheem Mesidor, Miami Hurricanes

Mesidor is going to get dinged in the pre-draft process for his age. He’ll be 25 on draft weekend, which limits his projection as a long-term option across multiple contracts. But he is pro-ready, powerful, and has an extensive ability to rush the passer.

The Dolphins could use all of the above amid their transition on the edge this season.

86th overall – CB Will Lee III, Texas A&M Aggies

Miami needs more competition in the cornerback room. 2025 rookie Jason Marshall Jr. needs to find a full-time home. Is he really a nickel? Other than that? What do the Dolphins have at cornerback?

JuJu Brents, Storm Duck, Isaiah Johnson, and Jason Maitre. They need more experience, but they also need more in the way of potential starters. Brents has a starter pedigree but has struggled with durability in his first three seasons. Storm Duck, Isaiah Johnson, and Jason Maitre are all UDFAs.

Lee III is a tall, long corner who has continued to thrive as he’s transferred up from JUCO to Kansas State and then Texas A&M.

87th overall – TE Michael Trigg, Baylor Bears

“Say the line, Bart!”

The Dolphins’ tight end room could use a long-term receiving threat. Sigh.

Darren Waller, when available, has been great. But will Miami run that back? It’s hard to commit too much to him, even if they did. Trigg has massive hands, an impressive catch radius, and has the kind of athleticism to thrive as a flex player who can block in space.

112th overall – QB Sawyer Robertson, Baylor Bears

The Dolphins’ quarterback situation is messy. Quinn Ewers will be under contract in 2026 — and he’ll have two more starts to show what he’s capable of.

But even if Ewers does well over the next two weeks, Miami should embrace full-on competition as they prep to transition away from Tua Tagovailoa. That transition will presumably take place this offseason, meaning Miami will need cost-friendly options to compete.

Robertson is big, athletic, and has easy gas on his throws. His dad was a first-round pick in the MLB draft, whereas his cousin is an NFL quarterback, Jarrett Stidham. This would be a nice upside bet to place against Ewers and, potentially, a veteran quarterback.
