The Tennessee Vols reportedly made an important transfer portal addition on Sunday.

According to On3’s Hayes Fawcett, Kansas State transfer safety Qua Moss committed to Tennessee on Sunday afternoon.

Moss was a zero star recruit coming out of Troup County High School in Georgia, but he worked his way into becoming one of the top defensive backs in the Big 12 last season, grading out at 76.4 in coverage according to Pro Football Focus.

Who is Qua Moss?

  • 5-foot-10/185 pounds from West Point, GA
  • Spent the 2023 season at Dodge City Community College
  • Transferred to West Georgia for the 2024 season
  • Totaled 41 tackles, two interceptions, and one forced fumble at Kansas State in 2025

The Georgia native had one of the craziest interceptions you’ll ever see this past season in a game against UCF.

Tennessee could still look to add another transfer safety this offseason.

Safety is considered one of the most important positions in new Vols defensive coordinator Jim Knowles’ scheme, so it’s no surprise that Tennessee is heavily target transfer safeties.
