For the third time in five seasons, Micah Parsons is a First-Team All-Pro. Despite not playing the final three games of the regular season, the star edge rusher was named to the big honor among the top players in the 2025 season.

Drafted in 2021, Parsons was a First-Team All-Pro in 2021, 2022, and now in 2025 — his first year with the Green Bay Packers. He was also a Second-Team All-Pro in 2023. It’s the second honor Parsons receives for the Packers after being named to the Pro Bowl.

Another Packer on the list

While Parsons is the only Packers player on the first team, safety Xavier McKinney was named to the Second-Team All-Pro. It’s the second All-Pro selection for the Packers defensive back in two years in Green Bay.

The biggest snub on the team is probably punter Daniel Whelan, who led the league in EPA per punt, but was bypassed in favor of Baltimore Ravens’ Jordan Stout and Seattle Seahawks’ Michael Dickson.

Special player

In his 14 games for the Packers in 2025, Micah Parsons had 12.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, 41 total tackles, and 79 pressures. Unfortunately, he tore his ACL last week against the Denver Broncos and is out for the season.

Parsons was the third edge rusher selected, after Cleveland Browns’ Myles Garrett and Houston Texans’ Will Anderson Jr. The second team has New York Giants’ Brian Burns, Houston Texans’ Danielle Hunter, and Detroit Lions’ Aidan Hutchinson.

Parsons recently went through his ACL surgery, and the expectation is that he will be back to the field in the early portions of the 2026 season.

It’s sad how the season ended for such a special player. But he will still be a special player moving forward, and the Packers have him under contract through 2029. Not everything has been great for the Packers this season, but trading two first-round picks and Kenny Clark for a star defender of Parsons’ caliber and age is certainly something the front office should have done.

After all, this is just the beginning of Micah Parsons’ trajectory in Green Bay.
