There isn’t much left to say that hasn’t already been said about Indianapolis Colts legendary WR Marvin Harrison Sr.

He’s one of the best wide receivers not only in the Colts’ franchise history but also in the NFL. Harrison is a member of the Colts Ring of Honor and is a Pro Football Hall of Famer. He is truly a Colts legend and remains a fan favorite in Indianapolis to this day.

So much so that a large portion of Indianapolis’ fans find themselves now rooting for Harrison’s son Marvin Harrison Jr., who is a wide receiver on the Arizona Cardinals, Colts fans now have another reason to celebrate Harrison Sr. as he is set to receive some much-deserved recognition.

Marvin Harrison selected as a member of the College Hall of Fame’s class of 2026

Harrison Sr. was an exceptional talent on the football field well before he put on a Colts helmet. He showed enough at the college level at Syracuse to be selected in the first round of the NFL Draft. He played in 44 games at Syracuse during his four-year collegiate career, recording 135 catches, 2,728 yards, and 20 touchdowns.

His best year was his senior season, where he set his career highs across the board with 56 catches, 1,131 yards (led the Big East), and eight touchdowns. His success at Syracuse doesn’t get enough recognition in my opinion, but thankfully, it’s being recognized now.

Harrison Sr. has been named a member of the College Football Hall of Fame’s class of 2026. He is one of 18 players in the class joined by NFL legends such as Eric Weddle and Aaron Donald. I think I speak for the entire Colts fan base when I congratulate Harrison Sr. on this incredible accomplishment.
