The Bills are going to have the chance to correct one of the biggest mistakes the team has made in recent years this offseason
Even the Bills now know that they made a mistake drafting Keon Coleman in 2024 over other playmakers, but thankfully, they will have the chance to right that wrong in the offseason.
The Buffalo Bills let a prime opportunity to finally get over the hump and win the AFC slip out of their hands.
Now they find themselves in a similar spot this offseason as they head back to the drawing board. The Bills need to make win-now moves to improve their roster and give themselves the best possible chance to compete in 2026
In the 2024 NFL Draft, the Bills chose to pass on multiple WRs who have gone on to become successful NFL pros in favor of Keon Coleman. That hasn’t played out in the team’s favor, but the upcoming offseason gives them the chance to correct that mistake.
Bills need to add a quick route winning WR in free agency or the 2026 NFL Draft
Due to already having Khalil Shakir, the Bills elected to target a bigger WR, hoping he would complement Shakir’s skill set. I understand the reasoning, but I think the Bills’ WR room is and has been so bare outside of Shakir as of late.
So while it’s essential to find a talent who complements Shakir, the Bills need to upgrade their WR room first and foremost. I think adding speedy, quick-route-winning WRs would help the Bills stretch the field more effectively in free agency and the 2026 NFL Draft.
In free agency, a couple of names I think they should pursue are Rashid Shaheed, Alec Pierce, and Wan’dale Robinson. In the 2026 NFL Draft, the team should do its homework on KC Concepcion and Makai Lemon. I also think a trade-up for Carnell Tate needs to be on the table. The Bills have their franchise QB. Now, go get Josh Allen more weapons that can make his life easier.
