Cincinnati Bengals WR Ja’Marr Chase teases fans what is likely to come during 2026 Pro Bowl Games
Ja’Marr Chase is deep in the Pro Bowl playbook.
The 2026 Pro Bowl Games will wrap up with a flag football exhibition featuring Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase and three of his Bengals teammates in quarterbacks Joe Burrow and Joe Flacco, and WR Tee Higgins.
But this isn’t a true backyard scrimmage where there aren’t any rules or general structure. There are actual plays for the Pro Bowlers to call and refer to on their wristband play sheets.
Some of the calls have Chase surprised.
Ja’Marr Chase hints at increased trick plays to come in the Pro Bowl
Chase has played the what’s known as the Pro Bowl nowadays before, but noted during Sunday’s practice there is an abundance of trick play calls on his play sheet.
“I ain’t gonna lie we must got hella tricks this year,” Chase said while mic’d up by the Bengals. “I don’t remember this many tricks.
“We got hella tricks in our bag this year.”
Option routes in the play sheet caught Higgins’ attention, but he has a vertical route in mind for Tuesday night.
“I need one,” Higgins told Chase. “You know me.”
Tuesday will be Chase’s fourth Pro Bowl he will have participated in despite this being his fifth honor. Cincinnati playing in the Super Bowl in the 2021-22 postseason forced him to miss the festivities that year. The fifth-year wideout was the AFC leader in receptions (125) and receiving yards (1,412).
Higgins will play in his first-ever Pro Bowl after cracking the roster as a second alternate. He was first in the AFC in receiving touchdowns (11), and was second in the entire NFL only to Los Angeles Rams WR Davante Adams (14).
Both of Cincy’s star receivers will get chances to rack up highlights in the Pro Bowl, and to the excitement of Chase, perhaps we’ll see them involved in some trickery.
