Broncos make Bo Nix one of the happiest men alive with their pick in a new 2026 NFL mock draft

A new 2026 NFL mock draft has a dynamic player fall into the Broncos’ lap, and no one would be happier than Bo Nix.

The Denver Broncos had an incredible 2025 season, earning the one seed in the AFC and reaching the AFC Championship game. Sadly, it ended in heartbreak as they were forced to play in the AFC title game without quarterback Bo Nix.

Nix suffered an ankle injury down the stretch against the Buffalo Bills in the divisional round and was ruled out for the year during head coach Sean Payton’s post-game remarks. Ultimately, they fell short against the New England Patriots, losing 10-7.

Their goals were right there for the taking, and they have to feel sick knowing things didn’t work out. It should give them more motivation to attack this offseason aggressively. In a new A to Z Sports mock draft, a big-time playmaker falls into their laps without the team having to do anything, though.

Broncos select Oregon TE Kenyon Sadiq in a new 2026 NFL mock draft

“Denver has typically gone BPA with their drafts under general manager George Paton, and it just so happens that the best player available here is one that also conveniently solves a need for a do-it-all playmaker in their offense. Give Bo Nix as many weapons as you can muster. Sadiq has a much more well-rounded skill set than Evan Engram.” – AJ Schulte, A to Z Sports NFL Draft analyst

The Broncos’ defense was one of the best in the league all year long. The offense had flashes but definitely has its flaws. Finding the best way to improve that side of the ball should be their top priority for the offseason.

In this mock, the clear consensus top tight end in the class falls into their lap: Oregon’s Kenyon Sadiq. Sadiq was a difference-maker as a receiver in the pass game and as a blocker in the run game for the Oregon Ducks this past year.

Adding that type of weapon to Nix’s arsenal could pay off big for Denver. To make it an even better fit, the two have already played together.

Nix’s final year of college was Sadiq’s first. They were teammates at Oregon, even though Sadiq had a very limited role at the time. He finished his freshman year with only five receptions, for 24 yards and a touchdown.

Sadiq has since developed into a lethal weapon at the Te position. He’s coming off the best year of his career, recording career highs across the board with 51 receptions, 560 yards, and eight touchdowns.

If this happened, it would give Nix two former Oregon teammates on the offensive side of the ball, along with Troy Franklin. Bronco fans would be pumped to have Sadiq but no one would be happier than Nix if you ask me.
