Cleveland Browns pair the playmaker they’ve been lacking with surprising quarterback in latest 3-round 2026 NFL Mock Draft
It’s Monday and another mick draft is here. The Browns start off things with a player they need at No. 6 overall.
The Cleveland Browns knocked it out of the park with their 2025 NFL Draft class and they need to do it again this year if they want to speed up their rebuild.
Cleveland will have 10 picks come April, including two first-rounders. The Browns have to go offensive heavy in this draft, where they need the most help.
A recent mock draft here at A to Z Sports from Ryan Roberts has the Browns making a major change to their offense.
Browns find new quarterback, potential star playmaker in latest mock draft
Round 1, Pick 6: Makai Lemon, WR, USC
Round 1, Pick 24: Kadyn Proctor, OT, Alabama
Round 2, Pick 39: Ty Simpson, QB, Alabama
Round 3, Pick 70: Drew Shelton, OT, Penn State
Drafting Lemon at No. 6 here may seem like a reach right now, but the perception of that is beginning to change. Lemon has a chance to be the best wide receiver from this class with his ability to get open and be a weapon with the ball in his hands. The Biletenkoff winner may not have 4.4 40-yard dash speed, but he doesn’t need it.
Pairing Lemon with a first-round offensive tackle would be an ideal scenario. Plenty of concern comes with Alabama’s Proctor, but his athletic ability makes him an exciting prospect at tackle. Cleveland could have as many as five new offensive linemen next year, so doubling up with Shelton in the third round makes plenty of sense.
Taking Simpson in the second round is another dart thrown by this team in search of a franchise quarterback. Simpson is a gamer and he showed it at Alabama, but he has minimal starting experience, and would be best served to sit a year and develop.
Don’t be surprised if the Browns go heavy on their offense with the first four picks like this come April. We all watched just how bad that offense was last season, and this is what it’s going to take to improve.
