2026 NFL Scouting Combine Preview: Commanders’ media availability, prospects to watch, and position drill schedules
The Commanders will be speaking to the media at the NFL Scouting Combine, as well as watching and interviewing top NFL Draft prospects
The offseason is in full swing, and the next stop on the schedule is the 2026 NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis, Indiana, from February 23rd to March 2nd.
The NFL Scouting Combine gives all 32 teams the chance to watch top NFL Draft prospects perform drills to show their athletic abilities before the draft. Teams also get to meet with prospects and ask them questions to better get to know them, which is just as important.
Here’s a look at what to expect at the 2026 NFL Scouting Combine, including when the Commanders will be speaking to the media.
Washington Commanders’ schedule at the 2026 NFL Scouting Combine
The NFL Scouting Combine is a critical time for teams to lock in on their top draft prospects and move players up and down their boards. This is also a chance for all of us to hear from general manager Adam Peters and head coach Dan Quinn once again and see what nuggets they leave.
The Scouting Combine schedule was released, and the Commanders will be speaking to the media on Tuesday, February 24th. Peters will speak at Noon, followed by Quinn at 3:00 p.m. ET.
They aren’t just speaking with the media on Tuesday, as that marks the first team interviews with draft prospects as well. Then comes the on-field workouts, which kick off on Thursday with the defensive line and linebacker prospects.
Who to watch for at the 2026 NFL Scouting Combine
As of now, there will be 319 NFL Draft prospects at the NFL Scouting Combine looking to improve their draft stock. The Commanders will have their eyes on a handful of prospects who could be their selection with the No. 7 overall pick. On the offensive side of the ball, WR Carnell Tate, RB Jeremiyah Love, and WR Jordyn Tyson will be the top headliners to watch.
On the defensive side of the ball, the Commanders will have LB/EDGE Arvell Reese, EDGE Rueben Bain Jr, EDGE David Bailey, Safety Caleb Downs, and LB Sonny Styles all on the schedule to pay close attention to.
Every year, we see multiple players surge up draft boards because of their combine times, measurements, and how well they perform in drills. This is a very important week for the Commanders, who will have their top options with the No. 7 overall pick on the field and in the meeting rooms.
