Potential early Browns’ draft fit dropped one quote that’ll win over Cleveland fans, and he’s already met with the team
The Browns need wide receiver help and one of the best from the draft has already met with the Browns.
The Cleveland Browns have multiple major needs they must address this offseason if they want to improve from their 5-12 record last season.
Cleveland has no answer at quarterback until they have one, that’s known. The Browns have to surround whoever they have at quarterback in 2026 with better pieces to win along the offensive line and at wide receiver.
With the 2026 NFL Scouting Combine going on this week, we’re getting a look at some future members of the Browns.
Jordyn Tyson would be a fit for the Browns, and he sounds like he wants to be in Cleveland
If it weren’t for health concerns, Arizona State WR Jordyn Tyson would be the unquestioned top wide receiver in the draft. If the Browns feel good about where Tyson’s medicals are, they could look to take him at either No. 6 or No. 24 overall in the first round.
Tyson is notably the brother of Cleveland Cavaliers’ Jaylon Tyson, who is a key role player of the Cavs.
“That would be amazing,” Tyson said of landing in Cleveland. “Especially going to a playoff game, never been to a playoff game but seeing that atmosphere in the NBA, that would be amazing.”
Tyson had a formal meeting with the Browns and was able to meet the decision makers. The 6-foot-2, 200-pound wideout is clearly a player the Browns are considering.
“Got to meet Andrew Berry and Todd Monken … it was amazing.”
Tyson had 470 yards as a freshman at Colorado in 2022 before transferring to Florida State. The first-round prospect put up 1,101 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns during the 2024 season to get on the NFL radar. Tyson had 711 receiving yards and eight touchdowns this past season in nine games for the Sun Devils.
The top wideouts all have to be in play for the Browns between Tyson, Ohio State’s Carnell Tate, and USC’s Makai Lemon. Cleveland’s top wideout is Jerry Jeudy and the team lacks a clear WR1 for the offense. Free agent and the draft will both be areas the Browns have to attack, and the draft brings some intriguing options.
Tyson already has a Cleveland connection where he could be comfortable with his brother in town. These kinds of things matter for young athletes to be successful in new environments.
Keep an eye on Tyson in the coming weeks as we get closer to the draft. Cleveland is doing its due diligence on this one.
