The Rams haven’t always been big hitters in free agency, but they’ve usually hit on solid value additions over the years. They made a wise move in adding Nate Landman last offseason, and have made smart additions recently like Colby Parkinson, Kam Curl, Jimmy Garoppolo, and Ahkello Witherspoon, who all outplayed their contracts.

In such a critical all-in offseason, the Rams will once again look to add some more value out of free agency without breaking the bank. Who are some options for them to consider?

LB Alex Anzalone

Anzalone has been a steady producer and tone-setter for the Lions’ defense for the last five seasons. Anzalone is a good athlete and pairs that with very good awareness and physicality to make him a strong coverage linebacker, something the Rams desperately need to add.

Anzalone is a legitimate three-down linebacker who would solve the Rams’ most pressing need in the middle of their defense, freeing Nate Landman to move around and stay closer to the line of scrimmage.

CB Cor’Dale Flott

Flott had an incredible 2025 season that got completely lost in the shuffle because he played for the New York Giants. Allowing just one touchdown with eight pass breakups, Flott was a rare bright spot for the Giants this season. Flott routinely matched up with the top receivers and more than held his ground.

In his matchups against Justin Jefferson, Amon-Ra St. Brown, Jameson Williams, Christian Watson, DeVonta Smith, Courtland Sutton, Chris Olave, and George Pickens, Flott allowed just seven catches for 110 yards and zero touchdowns. Flott finished ninth in the league in EPA-allowed. His injury history will impact his free agency value, but this is a player fresh off of a tremendous season. He can be an impact starter opposite of McDuffie.

G/C Dylan Parham

The Rams have been eyeing shoring up the interior of their offensive line after a poor season from swing lineman Justin Dedich. Parham has played both guard spots and center in his career, and his powerful style of play fits well with the Rams leaning more into gap concepts in recent seasons.

I wouldn’t go past a certain price point for him, and he may be hoping for a starting gig, but Parham would be a stout addition to shore up the interior of the pocket to keep Stafford upright if one of their starters goes down with injury again.

WR Greg Dortch/Devin Duvernay

The Rams need another capable starting wide receiver, but that’s not why they would be signing these two. Both Dortch and Duvernay would be added solely to help solve the Rams’ special teams woes and boost their return game. Dortch wasn’t the most explosive returner, but he was remarkably consistent, averaging 26.5 kick return yards per attempt and 11.6 punt return yards per attempt. He can contribute there and as a solid part of the receiver rotation when the Rams go into 11-personnel.

Duvernay isn’t quite the same impact as a receiver, but he delivers an explosive edge as a returner. He picked up over 1,000 kick return yards last season with the Bears, a feat the Rams haven’t accomplished since Pharoh Cooper’s 2017 season.

S P.J. Locke

The Rams have their starting tandem locked up with Kamren Curl and Kam Kinchens, but the depth in the room could use some insurance. With how frequently the Rams play with 6 DBs on the field, they could use more bodies to rotate in at safety, especially if they plan on deploying Curl closer to the box like they did throughout the playoffs.

Locke worked with Rams’ safeties coach Chris Beake in Denver and is fresh off of a strong 2025 season. He could work in as a rotational “center field” safety in lieu of Curl in those situations.

QB Sam Howell

Before Howell was traded to the Seattle Seahawks, the Rams were reportedly in the running to try and trade for him. Now, he’s hitting the open market. With Jimmy Garoppolo hitting free agency with some evidently strong suitors lining up to pursue him, the Rams could be in the market for an experienced, cheap backup to replace him. Why not Howell once again?
