NFL free agency is always a bit of madness. For the Philadelphia Eagles and GM Howie Roseman, they have a new avenue to convince players to join their forces in Philly.

Players can agree to terms today starting at noon ET on Monday, but deals cannot be signed until Wednesday at 4 pm ET at the earliest. Players can change their mind in that window until deals are signed officially.

Eagles and other NFL teams can now video call with free agents

According to reports, teams can now discuss negotiations with five different free agents during the two day negotiating window via video or phone call, previously termed the legal tampering period.

“A subtle but significant change when the NFL’s free agent negotiating window opens Monday: For the first time, clubs may conduct one video or phone call (maximum 1 hour) with up to five free agents, rather than communicating strictly through their agents as in past years.” — Tom Pelissero

Who are a handful of veterans that the Eagles may want to discuss terms with during this window ahead of signings becoming official?

WR Keenan Allen

The experienced wideout is looking to keep playing, and he was productive for the Los Angeles Chargers once again in 2025. The Eagles may need a new WR3 on offense with Jahan Dotson set to hit the open market. Allen may be looking to join a Super Bowl contender.

TE David Njoku

Philadelphia has already been linked to Njoku, and Dallas Goedert may join a new team during free agency. Njoku is an exciting athlete who is probably ready to win some football games after starting his NFL career with the Cleveland Browns.

OG Chris Paul

Adding offensive line depth will be on the Eagles radar this week, and Paul can step into a backup role with a potential chance to start if he can beat out Tyler Steen at right guard.

CB Tariq Woolen

The Eagles need a new starting outside cornerback to accompany Quinyon Mitchell. Woolen had his inconsistent moments with the Seattle Seahawks, but his physicality and upside would be a breath of fresh air for the Eagles secondary.

EDGE Cameron Jordan

The Saints’ franchise leader in sacks will hit the open market to consider other landing spots. Philadelphia may be one of the most talented teams with interest in him, as they look to improve their pass rush. Jordan could be another veteran chasing a ring this offseason.
