One of the 2026 NFL Draft’s biggest sleepers has the Dolphins on his list of teams to meet with
This could be a fascinating solution to one spot for the Dolphins.
The Miami Dolphins‘ offensive tackle situation is pretty easy to forecast for 2026. But beyond this season? Your guess is currently as good as mine.
Perhaps the Dolphins will fall in love with someone in this year’s draft. It could come at No. 11 overall — perhaps at pick No. 30, too. But if the Dolphins don’t get their future right tackle early on, one of this year’s biggest sleepers is apparently on Miami’s radar. The Dolphins are meeting with Memphis offensive tackle Travis Burke as one of their ’30 visits’ ahead of April’s draft. Here’s what you need to know.
Dolphins meeting with Memphis Tigers offensive tackle Travis Burke as a ’30 visit’
Burke is popular man. As Sports Illustrated’s Justin Melo highlights, he’s got at least 7 pre-draft visits scheduled, including one with Miami. He checks in as a whopping 6-foot-8 & 3/4th, 325 pound offensive tackle with 34.25″ arms. He’s a mammoth human being who offers some echoes of Jalen Travis from last year’s NFL Draft. Jalen Travis was drafted 127th overall by the Indianapolis Colts and played over 300 snaps as a rookie. He’s now set to become the Colts’ starter at right tackle in 2026.
For Travis Burke, the visit to Miami is a chance to come home. He’s originally from Hollywood, FL and played his high school football at South Broward HS. He redshirted at Gardner-Webb in 2021, then transferred to Florida International as a 3-star transfer in 2023. He finished his college career with one year at Memphis — where he logged 765 snaps for the Tigers and allowed just 13 pressures on over 400 pass rush snaps.
Burke is still a big raw and rough around the edges. But the finishing demeanor, functional athleticism, raw size, and surprising amounts of lateral agility offer him a robust list of traits for an NFL offensive line coach to work with. And, throughout the course of his college career, he’s logged over 1,100 snaps at both left and right tackle. So the question now for Miami is…how high are you willing to take him and will it be higher than everyone else?
