The Seattle Seahawks hold the most prized first-round pick in the upcoming 2026 NFL Draft, pick 32. The pick that belongs to the reigning Super Bowl champion. They should be able to land a day one contributor as they begin their repeat attempt.

As they prepare for the 2026 NFL Draft, the Seahawks are hosting prospects in Seattle for in-person visits. A recent one included a national champion defensive lineman who could be in play for them at pick 32.

Seahawks hosted Ohio State star DT Kayden McDonald for a pre-draft visit

Former Ohio State Buckeyes defensive tackle Kayden McDonald posted on his Instagram story on Monday that he was visiting the Seahawks. He is coming off a two year run of being a key contrubitor for the Buckeyes. Including a national championship defense in 2024 and the best year of his career in 2025.

He appeared in 34 games during his three year career at Ohio State. McDonald recorded 11 tackles for loss and three sacks during his career. In 2025 he recorded all three of his sacks and nine of his 11 takles for loss.

He developed into one of the best run defenders in college football last year. As a result he is in consideration to be a first round selection late this month.

Should the Seahawks draft Kayden McDonald in the first round of the 2026 NFL Draft?

The Seahawks have one of the best interior defensive lines in the NFL last seaon. Led by stars Byron Murphy II and Leonard Williams. If they chose to target McDonald though he would be looked as a future replacement for Jarrant Reed at nose tackle.

That trio of Muprhy II, Williams and McDonald going forward would be just about flawless. So if McDonald finds himself on the board at pick 32 I could defintely see Seattle turning in a card with his name on it. They have bigger needs but making a strength even stronger is always tempting.
