ESPN links Cleveland Browns to pair of major 2026 NFL Draft selections in latest intel mock
In Peter Schrager’s latest mock draft based on what he’s hearing around the NFL, he has the Browns making two very important picks in the first round, and they must work out.
We’re just over two weeks away from the 2026 NFL Draft and the Cleveland Browns will soon be finalizing their draft board for the big three-day event.
When looking at what the Browns need early, it’s been all about offensive tackle and wide receiver. Cleveland will get their shot to find players who fit those positions at picks No. 6 and No. 24 in the first round.
Mock drafts are in their final days before they don’t matter anymore, and one of my favorites to pay attention to just dropped.
ESPN mock draft based on what’s being heard for the Browns
Peter Schrager released his one-round mock draft based on what he’s been hearing around the league. With the Browns’ two first-round picks, he has the following players going to Cleveland.
Round 1, Pick 6 Spencer Fano, OT, Utah
“Fano is a rare prospect in this draft in that he has true versatility across the entire offensive line. He can play tackle and guard, and he even took snaps at center during the combine. Because he might not be viewed as a pure left tackle, sixth might be seen as too rich. But with two picks in the first round, look for Cleveland to get an O-lineman with at least one of them. And Fano is a talented, moveable piece along that line.”

Round 1, Pick 24: KC Concepcion, WR, Texas A&M
“Concepcion is a do-everything wideout who averaged 15.1 yards per catch in 2025 and can also be a key playmaker in the return game. I’ve had multiple sources compare Concepcion to Zay Flowers. New offensive coordinator Travis Switzer and new coach Todd Monken both had Flowers in Baltimore, and they could get creative with how they use Concepcion in this offense. I had the Browns going with an offensive tackle at No. 6, but they need a playmaker, too.”

What to make of these two picks for the Browns?
Cleveland taking Fano in the first round gives them a player who has the versatility to play multiple spots. Adding a player like Fano allows the Browns to try him at tackle, potentially left first then right if needed, before moving to guard if need be. Cleveland could have Tytus Howard make the move to left tackle if they believe Fano is better suited in the long run on the right side, or at least early in his career.
The second first-round pick is going to be a spot the Browns could target several wideouts with Concepcion being one of them. The Texas A&M product is a monster with the ball in his hands and can turn a small crease into a big play in a second. Cleveland’s offense simply needs more weapons for defenses to worry about, and Concepcion falls into that category.
Nailing these first two picks allows Cleveland to fill their biggest needs and potentially take the best player available when it’s back on the clock at pick No. 39. When it’s all said and done, it would be a surprise if the Browns didn’t use two of the first three picks on offensive tackle and wide receiver.
