The Las Vegas Raiders have the best tight end in the NFL. Brock Bowers is all about football, and as we all know, has one of the shiest personalities on the team. He’s not super loud or boisterous, and often comes off as a guy who does nothing but play football.

Brock Bowers lives the dream by going to The Masters

But over the last few years, Bowers has developed a new hobby and has been playing it with his Raiders teammates: golf. According to Sam Warren of The Athletic, Bowers was helping with a Las Vegas campaign that helps youth learn and grow the sport.

“Brock Bowers was at Las Vegas Golf Club today for Bank of America’s Golf with Us clinic to coach kids from a local Boys and Girls Club as they learn the sport. Campaign aims to make youth golf more accessible, and Bowers is passionate about getting kids involved in sports. Bowers said he didn’t start playing golf until he went to Georgia, and now plays with a group of Raiders teammates. Also said he was at The Masters last Sunday for Rory McIlroy’s win.” – Sam Warren, The Athletic.

Warren’s tidbit about Bowers going to The Masters is awesome. He’s only been playing golf for a few years, but as an avidly bad golfer myself, it doesn’t take long to get obsessed. Going to The Masters is every golfer’s dream, and Bowers got to do that this last weekend. Even better—he got to see an elite weekend of golf with one of the best weekends we have seen in some time.

Rory McIlroy won and became the fourth golfer to ever win it back-to-back. That’s a big deal, and it was even more magical to watch when you realize what he’s been through this season, leading up to the match. Rory wasn’t playing great, but he got the win on Sunday.
