Here is the New York Giants’ 2026 NFL Draft class
The Giants round out the draft with seven total picks, including linebacker/edge defender hybrid Arvell Reese and offensive lineman Francis Mauigoa in the top 10 of the first round.
It was a special sequence of days for the New York Giants. Entering the draft with two top 10 picks, the team selected two universally praised players in Arvell Reese and Francis Mauigoa. The Giants also made an aggressive move in the third round to select Malachi Fields, which left them without fourth- or fifth-round picks.
So, this is your 2026 New York Giants draft class, pick by pick.
First round, Pick 5: Arvell Reese, LB, Ohio State
Reese is the ultimate defensive weapon upfront. Some people view Reese as an off-ball linebacker, while others think he’s better served trying to become a full-time edge defender. The right defensive scheme can allow him to be both, although asking him to do too much, too soon may be a first-class ticket to a longer developmental curve. The Giants will start this process with him in the off-ball linebacker room, but the idea is to eventually move him around.
First round, Pick 10: Francis Mauigoa, T, Miami
The benefit of Francis Mauigoa is that he is one of the safest offensive line prospects in recent memory. What you see is what you get, and what that is an immediate quality starter. Mauigoa is a thick, powerful blocker with superb play strength, anchor, and technique that allow him to dominate the point of attack in the run game and shut down power rushers. The Giants are not in position to make mistakes early in the draft, so getting this type of prospect is a win — at least for now.
Second round, Pick 37: Colton Hood, CB, Tennessee
General manager Joe Schoen and head coach John Harbaugh decided to take Tennessee cornerback Colton Hood with the 37th overall pick early in the second round, instead of trading back. The idea was to add a potential real difference-maker with high upside, and that would be more important than volume of selections.
Third round, Pick 74: Malachi Fields, WR, Notre Dame
The Giants proved they want potential over volume of picks being highly aggressive here. The team sent their fourth, fifth, and a 2027 fourth-rounder to move back into the third and take Malachi Fields. It’s a risky decision, but the Giants are betting that Fields should have been taken earlier.
Sixth round, Pick 186: Bobby Jamison-Travis, DT, Auburn
Jamison-Travis is a physical, explosive interior defensive lineman. But he’s more of a developmental piece in a big-picture process after the Dexter Lawrence trade to the Cincinnati Bengals.
Sixth round, Pick 192: J.C. Davis, T, Illinois
The Giants have a relatively comfortable situation at tackle with star lineman Andrew Thomas on the left side and a viable starter on the right with Jermaine Eluemunor, who just signed a three-year extension with the team, in addition to top 10 pick Francis Mauigoa. That gave the Giants the flexibility to take a developmental prospect later in the process.
Sixth round, Pick 193: Jack Kelly, LB, BYU
Kelly has the speed and aggressiveness to defend the run at a good level. He can also be a special teams contributor early on, which is huge for a late-round pick. The flaw in his game are mostly in pass coverage.
