The 2026 NFL Draft could go down as one of the more memorable draft spectacles in recent NFL history. All of the makings, including a host city rich with football tradition, a team via the Pittsburgh Steelers with plenty of needs on the roster, and one of the more volatile classes in some time, could make for plenty of fireworks.

Some of those fireworks may come via the trade market. We know that Alex Highsmith has been floated as a potential name to watch, but who else could potentially be traded for the right price in Pittsburgh? Here are the 3 candidates.

DB Jalen Ramsey

Ramsey was a name to watch during free agency as a potential cut/trade candidate, though he made it through that period. It seems like new Steelers DC Pat Graham would like to work with Ramsey, and his new role as a full-time nickel fits perfectly into the scheme that’s coming to Pittsburgh, in my opinion.

Given his salary and what will likely be his final year in Pittsburgh, I could see the Steelers moving on, but only for the right price.

LB Patrick Queen

Similar to Ramsey, Queen was at the center of rumors and speculation back in March, but his roster bonus was triggered, and he is still on the team. From the Steelers’ POV, they don’t typically like to cut or trade players they have paid, but I wouldn’t be shocked if a team like Dallas came calling on day two or early day three with an offer the Steelers would entertain.

QB Mason Rudolph

We don’t know a lot about who will be the starting quarterback for the Steelers in 2026, but there are some facts surrounding the situation. The first is that Mike McCarthy and the Steelers brass are looking to add another passer in the draft.

The second is that Will Howard received starting reps during the voluntary minicamp this week, and the third is that the Steelers remain in contract with Aaron Rodgers. So if we assume that Rodgers returns, Howard is the backup, and the team drafts a quarterback on day two or day three, then Rudolph could be the odd man out, and a team in need of a steady backup may come calling.
