The Indianapolis Colts added some talented players on day two of the 2026 NFL Draft. They focused on the defense selecting Georgia LB C.J. Allen in the second and LSU safety AJ Haulcy in the third.

They currently have six selections on day three, with two in round four. There are still some talented players on the board that could make a big impact for the Colts. So here is a day three Colts mock draft, which includes Indy finding a new home for Anthony Richardson.

Colts Day 3 2026 NFL Mock Draft

The team landed two day one starters in the second and third rounds. I think early on day three, they should target another, and they have a lot of options on the board that can do just that.

Round 4, Pick 113: Skyler Bell, WR, UConn

First up, I have the Colts taking my top wide receiver available entering day three, UConn’s Skyler Bell. Bell isn’t as big a WR as some may prefer. He’s only 5-11 but can play outside or in the slot.

He is one of the best separators in the draft class and plays bigger than his size would suggest. He’s a scrappy football player who gives 110% effort on every route and catch. His ability to separate and gain yards after the catch would make him a day one starter for the Colts if you ask me. If he didn’t have so many drops, I think he would have been a second-round pick.

Round 4: Pick 135: Drew Shelton, OT, Penn State

The Colts run on landing day one starters ends here, but they still land a talented player. Drew Shelton out of Penn State is a top 100 player in this class, to me. In fact, he landed at 55 on my personal big board. He was my OT6 in the class and ranked higher than two guys that went in the first round, Kadyn Proctor and Blake Miller.

He would be a better swing tackle option for the Colts over Blake Freeland. And he has upside to compete for the starting right tackle spot with Jalen Travis.

Round 5, Pick 156: Matt Gulbin, C, Michigan State

The Colts lost backup center Danny Pinter to the Baltimore Ravens. So, finding someone to slide behind Tanor Bortolini on the depth chart is something to watch during day three of the draft. Matt Gulbin, out of Michigan State, is someone many look at as a sleeper center in the class with upside to become a starter down the road. That wouldn’t need to be the case for the Colts, but he would give them a reliable backup.

Trade: Colts send Anthony Richardson to the Baltimore Ravens for pick 174

Many expect Anthony Richardson to be traded today, and it would make sense. The Colts are going forward with Daniel Jones as their starter, and Richardson would like a fresh start elsewhere. Backing up and learning from Lamar Jackson on the Baltimore Ravens could be just what his career needs. Here, the Colts land a fifth-round pick to draft a talented player falling in the draft due to his medicals.

Round 5, Pick 174 (Via BAL): Jermod McCoy, CB, Tennessee

On talent alone, Jermod McCoy is a first-round pick. Sadly for him, he has multiple medical question marks that have led some teams to take him off their board altogether. If he is still sitting there in the fifth round and the Colts can get an extra pick for Richardson, I think he is worth taking the risk on.

He could basically redshirt during the 2026 season. Then who knows, maybe Charvarius Ward decides to retire after the year, and a starting spot opens up for McCoy.

Round 6, Pick 214: Keyshawn James-Newby, EDGE, New Mexico

Some will hate the Colts waiting till the sixth to take an edge rusher. But if you aren’t getting a starter, you might as well wait and take a shot on a developmental option late. That’s exactly the type of prospect Keyshawn James-Newby is out of New Mexico. A high upside speed rusher that needs to see his game polished more before he will carve out a role in the NFL.

Trade: Colts send picks 237 and 254 (seventh-round) to the Seattle Seahawks for pick 216

I was between two players at pick 214, so I decided to move up and get both. The Seahawks didn’t have a lot of picks in the class coming in so getting an extra pick to move back makes sense for the Super Bowl champs.

Round 6, Pick 216: Seth McGowan, RB, Kentucky

A running back in this class that I really like for the Colts is Kentucky’s Seth McGowan. McGowan has nice size at 6-0, weighing 223. Even with that build, he has great speed, running a 4.49 40-yard dash, and also uses it to run with great power. The part of his game that I think would make him a good backup to Jonathan Taylor, though, is his ability as a blocker out of the backfield.
