NASHVILLE — Tennessee Titans have dire needs along their offensive line in front of second-year quarterback Cam Ward. General manager Mike Borgonzi added depth to the room in the fifth-round of the 2026 NFL Draft.

Adding Oklahoma guard Fernando Carmona, however, does not address Tennessee’s starting holes at center or right guard.

Titans still have dire needs up front

Carmona projects as swing back-up offensive lineman, according to NFL Draft analyst Dane Brugler of The Athletic.

He started in all 12 games in his redshirt senior season. At 23, Carmona is the oldest member of the Titans four-man draft class thus far. Receiver Carnell Tate, defensive lineman Keldric Faulk and linebacker Anthony Hill are all only 21 years old.

Carmona has no game experience at center.

Carmona did mention that he has cross trained at multiple positions in his preparation for the draft. The former tackle bumped inside to guard on the recommendation of former Arkansas head coach and offensive line guru Sam Pittman. The position change turned him into a draftable prospect.

Ward was sacked 55 times in his rookie season with the Titans.

Tennessee is set at left tackle, left guard and right tackle. Dan Moore, Jr., Peter Skoronski and JC Latham are far from a proven group coming into 2026. The Titans signed veteran linemen Austin Schlottman and Cordell Volson in free agency.

Neither player would be considered starting-caliber quality, despite having 66 NFL starts between them.
